Dr. Josh Lange, EdD, MA, MEd, IDLTM

Josh is CEO of Advanced Language Institute and for over a decade has helped hundreds of students achieve excellence on Bachelor, Masters, and PhD programs at top universities.  He maintains a 100% success record in helping students pass tests including Cambridge tests, TOEFL, TOEIC, and Pearson PTE. Dr. Lange holds three Master level qualifications from top universities in Business, English, Law and Education, and a Doctorate in Education with a focus on 21st Century Skills. Josh leads Advanced Language Institute’s training programmes around the world.

Dr. Jane Ward, PhD, FHEA

Jane is an expert in the field of written and oral communication for native and non-native speakers. Her specialisms include English language teaching, psycholinguistics, the educational philosophy surrounding critical pedagogy, and critical discourse analysis (the study of language and power). Jane is involved professionally in several arenas. Her work at a leading UK university includes training non-native speaking postgraduates, undergraduates and foundation students in the fields of Academic English and Research Skills. She trains English teachers internationally and collaborates with like minded colleagues across the globe. In the world of business, Jane consults in areas such as marketing, presenting, and accent softening. Her enthusiasm for her chosen profession and her patience with learners underpin her success.

 

Dr. Lynda O’Brien, PhD, FHEA, BA(Hons)

Lynda is an academic consultant whose major area of expertise is academic writing. Her professional background is in Applied Linguistics and includes work at universities in England and in China. She has worked with students and academics from many different countries, native and non-native speakers alike. In China, she pioneered a hugely successful writing group concept for her PhD and EdD students at a leading Sino-British university, and also established a practical course for Graduate Teaching Assistants. From teaching on Academic Study Skills programmes, to advising in Writing Centres, from teaching English for Academic Purposes, lecturing in Applied Linguistics, and supervising graduate students, Lynda is well respected for her knowledge and her ability to help students achieve their aims. She draws on her vast practical and research experience to feed her passion for language and education and to create valuable learning materials for the MBE programme.
